POEMS Never Forget Your presence we miss, Your memories we treasure, Loving you always, Forgetting you never. If Tears Could Build A Stairway(partial) If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I would walk right up to Heaven and bring you back again. Loosing You Our hearts still ache in sadness, And secret tears still flow, No one will ever know. Forever In My Heart Gone yet not forgotten, Although we are apart, Your spirit lives withing me, Forever in my heart. A Bridge Called Love It takes us back to brighter years, to happier sunlit days and to precious moments that will be with us always. And these fond recollections are treasured in the heart to bring us always close to those from whom we had to part. There is a bridge of memories from earth to Heaven above... It keeps our dear ones near us. It's the bridge that we call love. Broken Heart If I could have a lifetime wish a dream that would come true I'd pray to God with all my heart for yesterday and you. A thousand words can't bring you back I know because I've tried And neither will a million tears I know because I've cried. You left behind my broken heart and happy memories too I never wanted memories... I only wanted you. Thinking of You We thought of ou with love today. But that is nothing new. We thought about you yesterday. And days before that too. We think ofyou in silence. We often speak your name. Now all we have is memories. And your picture in a frame. Your memory is our keepsake. With which we'll never part. God has you in his keeping. We have you in our heart. Little Dove On the wings of this white dove I'll set your spirit free. Up into the big deep sky, to heaven , where you'll be. I know God has a plan for us, he wants us by his side. But it is hard for us to understand when we are left behind. Little dove, help lift our hearts as we watch you go. God is there if we just ask, because He loves us so. I Only Wanted You They say memories are golden well maybe that is true. I never wanted memories, I only wanted you. A million times I needed you, a million times I cried. If love alone could have saved you you never would have died. In life I loved you dearly, In death I love you still. In my heart you hold a place no one could ever fill. If tears could build a stairway and heartache make a lane, I'd walk the path to heaven and bring you back again. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same. But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again. If Tears Could Build A Stairway (Full Version) If tears could build a stairway And memories were a lane We would walk right up to heaven And bring you back again No farewell words were spoken No time to say goodbye You were gone before we knew it And only God knows why Our hearts still ache in sadnes And secret tears still flow What it meant to lose you No one can ever know But now we know you want us To mourn for you no more To remember all the happy times Life still has much in store Since you'll never be forgotten We pledge to you today A hallowed place within our hearts Is where you'll always stay The Creation When God had made the earth and sky the flowers and the trees. He then made all the animals the fish, the birds and bees. And when at last He'd finished not one was quite the same. He said, "I'll walk this world of mine and give each one a name." And so He traveled far and wide and everywhere He went, a little creature followed Him until it's strength was spent. When all were named upon the earth and in the sky and sea, the little creature said,"Dear Lord, there's not one left for me." Kindly the Father said to him, "I've left you for the end. I've turned my own name back to front and called you dog, My friend." A Tribute To A Best Friend Sunlight streams through the windowpane unto a spot on the floor.... then I remember, it's where you used to lie, but now you are no more. Our feet walk down a hall of carpet, and muted echoes sound.... then I remember, it's where your paws would joyously abound. A voice is heard along the road, and up beyond the hill, then I remember it can't be yours.... your golden voice is still. But I'll take that vacant spot of floor and empty muted hall and lay them with the absent voice and unused dish along the wall. I'll wrap these treasured memorials in a blanket of my love and keep them for my best friend until we meet above. The Last Battle If it should be that I grow frail and weak And pain should keep me from my sleep, Then you must do what must be done, For this--the last battle--can't be won. You will be sad I understand, Don't let grief then stay your hand. For on this day, more than the rest, Your love and friendship must stand the test. We have had so many happy years, What is to come can hold no fears You'd not want me to suffer, so. When the time comes, please let me go. Take me to where to my needs they'll tend, Only, stay with me till the end And hold me firm and speak to me Until my eyes no longer see. I know in time you will agree It is a kindness you do to me. Although my tail its last has waved, From pain and suffering I have been saved. Don't grieve that it must be you Who has to decide this thing to do We've been so close--we two--these years, Don't let your heart hold any tears. The Rainbow Bridge Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals that had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. (Gender Specified)bright eyes are intent. (Gender Specified)eager body quivers. Suddenly (Gender Specified)begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, (Gender Specified)legs carrying (Gender Specified)faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again, The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... |
